If You Are Reading This, …

… you are either a fan, or that one girl I felt up in high school and still haven’t forgiven me, and you are waiting for that one moment to attack.

Nah, that didn’t sound the least bit paranoid.

I started reading Ernest Cline’s “Ready Player Two”. I’m a huge fan of the first book, even if a lot of people who either read the book or saw the movie looked at it as “glorified” fan fiction.

Honestly, not a lot of books do that intense structuring around things they grew up with and meticulously write a story around it. I liked the first book, and either way, I am super excited for this sequel.

Because of the holidays, and working in retail, my weekend was swamped with work, so when I got home, I just wanted to play games and relax. So, the untitled epic I’m writing on Twitter will continue, starting tomorrow.

I am also going to be using a new device at some point to write with, and use as a more mobile mouse and keyboard, and that is the Tap Strap 2. I will be reviewing it in the future, and will probably make a YouTube review vid for it. This company I have been following since the first generation Tap Strap was in crowdfunding. Because of their amazing deal on Amazon this weekend, I was able to finally take advantage of the lower price point, supporting not only a product, but a company that I am passionate about. So far, the new learning of their inputting language has been easier than expected, and I am almost to the point of moving from their introductory app that teaches you the different inputs to the intermediate app that goes through sentence writing and speed tests.

I’m honestly excited about starting to move forward with the training. I’m having a great time, and can’t wait to see how much it will help in using it on multiple platforms.

Again, the story on Twitter will resume tomorrow, and we shall watch the epic unfold together, as I am creating everything on the spot (aka “pantsing”).

Two Days In A Row?! MAN, YOU MUST BE DAFT!!!

Wow. Two days. That’s more communication with a bunch of strangers than I have had since, well, 2019.

The link to start the first Dazzling Comics! adventure is HERE====> https://twitter.com/SaturdayWorld/status/1331000847380008960?s=19. Please join my Twitter feed and make sure you follow along as I weave this epic start to the Dazzling Comics! brand.

As I said in my previous post, I plan (well, I’m attempting to plan) to do a special edition of the story once it is finished. There are already four easter eggs that I have gently secured in the story for people to figure out. I am in the process of working on the language, hierarchy, religion, and world-building that I had to start writing different concepts down into a notebook so I would try hard not to fuck the story up.

I may try to do vlog updates. Blogging is archaic, and I feel I can reach more people that way. It’s a small thought. I’m not dead set on doing it, but it has crossed my mind.

I hope you, the reader, have a wonderful day, and remember to keep high hopes for our future.

Until tomorrow…maybe.

Atypical “Life Changes” Blog Post

Yeah. Promises on a lot of websites were made, and none were kept. The last year (and several months) were huge. COVID-19, aka “The Second Plague”.

I know. No one calls it that. Seriously, though. We can’t get rid of the fucker. It won’t go away. President Elect Biden swears we have two vaccines. Is it possible? No one knows. Everyone is becoming used to the idea of “mask wearing” everywhere we go, outside of the home. Hell, there have been times I almost took a drink, forgetting to lower my mask. It’s become as second nature as wearing my glasses.

During my absense from the Internet, I landed a job at a hardware store, had a huge mental life change, and wrote a short, SHORT story called “A Friend for Cody.” My family and friends have read it, and a few authors I am acquainted with have read it as well. One went so far as to say that they had never read anything like it before, and another stated that I could make a career out of this.

Now, it is the end, or at least close to the end, of 2020. My wife picked up the writing bug along with me, and so far she has written the beginning of FOUR books!!! I am thoroughly amazed what that beautiful woman can accomplish.

I, on the other hand, hit a wall. I wrote several ideas, but none made it to paper or screen. I couldn’t bring myself to read either. I don’t know if it was my fear of failure, my inability to keep up with my wife’s writing, or the stress of work intruding on my creative abilities.

For all I know, it was probably all those reasons, and more.

Starting today, I took to Twitter. I remember several years ago, actor Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek: TNG) wrote a short story in the form of “tweets”. His peers and authors, as well as fans of his work, applauded his story and hung onto every 144 character posts. It was very cool.

At least I thought so.

In the same vein of creative abilities, I have started an untitled sci-fi story on Twitter. I have an extensive backstory that is building, and I am flying it under the Dazzling Comics universe.

If you would like to follow the story from the beginning, please go to http://twitter.com and subscribe to @saturdayworld. You may see my current moniker, “The Great Fartsupial” as the owner of said tweets.

All futures have an origin, and this is but one of many. Keep looking at this site for updates and changes, and keep those masks up. I want you all to survive this.

Marvel Movies Pre-Phase One: A Look Back At The Good, The Bad, & The Just Plain Ugly

I take a look back at all the movies that aren’t “Phase One” through “Phase Four” material and decide what were the triumphs and the losses of tons of movies.

(I guess I should apologize ahead of time. Sorry.)

– The Editor

There are a lot of movies to scour through on this “Journey Into The Unknown” that I am going to take us through. I struggled where to start.

I have been ill for the last few weeks. Due to those circumstances, ALL of my projects have fallen to the waste. I am healthy again and will be posting more regularly. I’m working on schedules this week and will have ideas of when posting to sites and at what intervals.

So, on with the show!

Hero on the Loo, Issue #1: Valiant Comics and Mobile Gaming

Did you know that Valiant Comics has not one, but TWO mobile games on the market? And, riddle me this–are they any good?

To start out with, I used to own an iPhone X.

I used to use Apple products, so it made sense to get the phone that was compatible with it.

Valiant Comics, company to characters and comics such as X-O Manowar, Faith, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Quantum & Woody, Archer and Armstrong, The Eternal Warrior, Rai, Ninjak, Doctor Mirage, Shadowman, Livewire, Ivar, The Forgotten Queen, and Punk Mambo have worked with two mobile gaming companies to create a game.
